About Us
Established in 1981, Fremantle Swan is the oldest dragon boat club in Australia. We compete throughout the regular season at state regattas in Perth and the AusDBF national championships.
Our paddlers also represent Western Australia and many have represented Australia at the IDBF World Championships in Hungary 2013, Canada 2015; France 2017 and Thailand 2019, many returning home with gold medals.
We also send a team to international competitions throughout Asia.
While we are a competitive club with a heritage of success, we are also a family club. Many juniors and parents paddle, although not together (that wouldn’t be cool!). Competitive or social, there is a place for everyone.

What People Say
Fabrizio Giannelli, FSDBC
It's an amazing environment for everyone at every age.. It's a competition vibe all the time which I fell in love with. And, what an incredible experience at my first competition. Amazing!
Guys, come and give it a try!
Rachel Abercrombie, FSDBC
I tried padding for the first time at the club open day and whilst it was a challenge, everyone was very supportive and helped me learn some of the techniques. I am now a member of the club but actually feel like part of the "family". This is a great sport and the club is full of fantastic people. I would highly recommend coming down to try!
Warren Sexton, CPS Conveyors
No PPT, no cliched motivational speeches, we wanted a team building activity to enjoy. Our team had a great day with the FSDBC crew; competitive friendly attitudes made for a highly successful day. Awesome!
